CPE at Serenity

Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) at Serenity provides interfaith training for anyone who interested in supportive care service. Whether you are a theology student, clergy, or laity, CPE will offer preparation for professional chaplaincy. As an online learning opportunity, Serenity CPE, an ACPE accredited program, trains students for parish ministry, chaplaincy, counseling, social work and certification as a CPE educator.

Course Offerings

Extended Units (22 to 26 weeks – depending on holidays)
20 hour weekly commitment
Any clinical setting of your choice w/ Serenity approval
Intensive Units (10 to 13 weeks – depending on holidays)
40 hour weekly commitment
Any clinical setting of your choice w/ Serenity approval
Residencies in some areas (prerequisite unit at Serenity)
Certified Educator Education (contract only)
40 hour weekly commitment
Clinical placements selected by Serenity staff

Course Offerings

Admissions requirements at Serenity include:
Graduation from an ATS accredited seminary (or equivalency)
Denominational affiliation (or endorsement)
Completed application ($200 processing fee)
Admissions interview with a Serenity CPE certified educator (CPE supervisor)
